Even though it was probably the most popular moment of her career, Natalie Portman's nude scene in Hotel Chevalier is now the biggest regret of her career. According to Entertainmentwise, Natalie said that she wishes she had followed her heart, and stuck with her "no nudity" rule. Personally, I'm glad she didn't.

I'm really sorry I didn't listen to my intuition. From now on, I'm going to trust my gut more. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is say no.

Of course, before the film came out, she seemed to have been all good with getting all naked on screen, and even said so. Yahoo! Movies has this quote from Natalie about her nude scene.

I don't know why, exactly. Sometimes you make rules for yourself and sometimes those rules are made to be broken. You have to test things out and see what works for you, and this felt right.

I guess Natalie won't be breaking the rules any time soon. Oh well. At least we've all seen it. And if you haven't seen it, you can soon see it on the big screen. Thanks to it's success on online, Hotel Chevalier will finally be opening in front of The Darjeeling Limited in theatres, which is good, because Darjeeling sucked.

Though I really do wish she'd change her mind one more time, and give us a look at the girls. Please, Natalie? Pretty please?

Whatever. Here's Natalie Portman nude in Hotel Chevalier.

Lots more pictures of Natalie Portman after the jump.

Update: So, it turns out Natalie Portman's nude scene in Hotel Chevalier wasn't actually a regret for her. Parade magazine informed us that they mistakenly attributed Natalie's comment to Hotel Chevalier, when she was actually talking about her nude scene in Goya's Ghosts, which was taken out of context and posted online. So does that mean that we will actually see more of Natalie Portman naked in the future!?
