What a ride watching Maggie Siff’s career has been. I first saw her on Mad Men when she was the Jewish head of a department store. Then she was a doctor in Sons of Anarchy. And now she is a psychiatrist in Billions. Her fictional roles are way more impressive than any positions that I have held in real life.

I wonder if it is easier being the parent of a failed actor than it is being the parent of a failed working schmuck? At least with an actor their parent can pretend for a little while that their child is actually a doctor or successful businessman. And there is always that small hope their kid is only one role away from being a success. No parent has that hope in regards to a child that, say, blogs about naked women on the internet. No, there is no shirking that shame. Believe me, I hear it at every family dinner.

Ken Jeong is both a doctor and a successful actor, so his parents really hit the jackpot. Although, being that they are Asian they probably still are not satisfied. They need him to be the first Korean on the moon as well.
