Good on Kelsey for being another Disney diva to make it off the plantation and break into the mainstream. It can be tough to change the perceptions of viewers and get them to see you as a serious actress, and not just some puppet trying to fit all of their lines in between the laugh track.

I think Kelsey is on a good track. She has started to use a different name for the credits. I think this is smart. I too use aliases, but that usually has to do with the legality of my dealings. On a totally different topic, if you ever meet me in the real world and I am going by the name Butch Howard, just go with it. There is sure to be a lot on the line.

But like I said, I can totally relate to a person wanting to use a different name when they transition into a new phase in their life. I fully supported my own father’s choice to legally change his name after I was born. To this day I do not understand the reasoning behind it, but my therapist assures me it had nothing to do with me.
