I have a friend who knows a guy, who knows a guy that works in the plastic surgery field. From what he has said, the requests for breast implants skyrocketed after Ma Ma was released. But because this is a movie where she has breast cancer, it is not typical that fans would want to mimic the look. And yet for some reason they did. They all either wanted a giant implant thrown into one boob, or to have one greatly reduced in size. Being the honorable man that he is, the surgeon refused all requests and is now up for a Nobel prize.

But this just highlights the responsibility that the media in regards to what they project on screen. If men had gone out and shaved their heads after watching Brian’s Song women would be up in arms. It is best that we voice our disapproval of these reckless actions before any permanent damage is done.
